WHITEWATER--Looking for something fun and unique to do this summer?  Enjoy Pig in the Park Festival on June 20-21 at Cravath Lake Park in downtown Whitewater, where some of the best barbeque competitors in the Midwest compete for a prize purse of $4,600.

Come Friday night from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and you can purchase tickets, sample the barbeque, then award your tickets to your favorite teams. Tickets are $1/sample. Wash down the barbecue with a cold beverage of your choice, including sodas and beers.

Teams compete in all four Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) sanctioned categories — chicken, pork ribs, pork and beef brisket — to be considered for grand champion. The judging for the main event is on Saturday afternoon, and awards are announced from 3:30 to 4:30 PM on Saturday on the music stage.

The Chops Motorcycle Show will be held Saturday, June 21, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Also included in the event will be live music, games, raffles and a variety of food vendors.
