Despite being well into 2014, there are still a few items to wrap up from 2013. Awards season in the newspaper business takes place in the spring, and CSI Media was honored with awards from several industry groups in the past few months.
CSI Media, part of Bliss Communications, publishes Walworth County Sunday, the Shopper Advertiser and Geneva Lakes Weekender in Walworth County. We also publish the Janesville Messenger in northern Rock County and the Stateline News in southern Rock County, Wisconsin and northern Winnebago County, Illinois.
In May, CSI Media was named member of the year by the Walworth County Visitor's Bureau at the tourism group's annual meeting and dinner held at Delavan's Lake Lawn Resort.
The award is given to an organization that shows its dedication to the Walworth County Visitor's Bureau through participation, contributions and volunteerism.
On the printing side, CSI Media took top honors from the Great Lakes Graphics Association for its printing of the Spirit Magazine. The publication is one of many commercial jobs printed at our Delavan facility.
CSI Media also won awards of excellence and certificates of merit for our printing of The Woodstock Independent, The Romeoville, Ill., Bugle, the Plainfield, Ill., Enterprise, the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Royal Purple newspaper and our own Lynn's Place recipe book.
At an award ceremony in April in Green Lake, CSI Media's Walworth County publications received six awards from Wisconsin Community Papers at the trade group's annual convention.
CSI Media was presented with 15 awards for all of its papers.
