Autopsies: bodies in suitcases are females
TOWN OF GENEVA—The bodies found stuffed in suitcases last Thursday along North Como Road in the town of Geneva were female, and at least one of them was an adult, according to the results of an autopsy report filed by the Waukesha County Medical Examiner's Office.
The autopsies were completed over the weekend in Waukesha since Walworth County does not have a coroner. According to a release from the Town of Geneva Police Department, one of female bodies has been determined to be an adult. The second body also appears to be an adult, but more testing is needed.
The release noted additional information on the autopsies is pending further test results.
Employees from the town's highway department were cutting the grass along North Como Road June 5 east of County Highway H early Thursday afternoon when one of the workers saw two suitcases in long grass near a ditch, and moved them to the side of the road to cut the grass.
Later that day officers from the Town of Geneva Police Department responded to a complaint from a citizen about the suitcases. The officers at the scene opened the suitcases and discovered a body in each case.
Authorities are asking anyone with additional information to contact the Town of Geneva Police Department at (262) 248-9926.
